A BIG thank you to everyone who attended the party last Friday and Kelly Manning & Richard Clegg of Salsa Etc and Marchant & Davina of Alchemy Dance for two very enjoyable lessons and beautiful performance! It really was a birthday to remember and another ‘first’ for Plymouth!
The evening kicked off with a fun and funky lesson with fresh-faced Salsa Etc teachers from Cornwall, Kelly & Richard; followed by a smooth and fluid Improvers class with the elegant and charismatic salsa duo, Marchant & Davina. Then, it was time for some latin freestyle while the Alchemy Dance stars prepared to entertain us with their performance!
When they emerged, Davina (wearing a gorgeous bright pink, flowing dress with lace detail) and Marchant (wearing a suave ensemble of suit trousers, dark grey waistcoat and shirt & tie) oozed class & sophistication, and proceeded to wow us with a wonderful display. If you need refreshing on the basic step or have never danced Kizomba before then arrive 15 minutes earlier and we will take you through the basic steps.
Salsa Classes Plymouth are holding Kizomba classes for Improvers and Beginners every Monday night along with our usual salsa classes with Robert Charlemagne. Beginners classes start at 7pm and only cost £3 as an introductory price.
More quality teaching results in more dancers at a good level. The more competent salsa dancers we produce in our salsa classes the more dancers at a confidant level we have attending parties, and the bigger the buzz.
With Robert Charlemagne coming on board with Salsa Classes Plymouth we believe we now have another important cog in the wheel. With his 18 years experience as a salsa teacher he has the ability to inspire both beginners and competent dancers alike.
Robert is a versatile instructor of all Latin dances with qualifications in most disciplines including the latest craze of Kizomba. Robert Begins teaching at Bar VIEW 2 from Monday 3rd January and every Sunday & Monday after.
